Two-day intensive course focused on the rearing and fostering of orphaned Irish birds and mammals
Designed for rehabilitators, wildlife carers, and veterinary professionals seeking specialised training
Covers theory and practice including:
Appropriate housing and feeding techniques for orphans
Recommended food types and short‐term equipment needs
Dos & don’ts of orphan rearing and fostering, including licensing requirements and record-keeping forms
Practical sessions identifying young of different species, intake procedures, handling advice, crop feeding, and foster kit contents
Prerequisite: Completion of the Introduction to Wildlife Rehabilitation Course
Interactive sessions and networking with experienced WRI instructors and wildlife experts
